Wedding Bouquets
I saw these carnation bouquets at a recent bridal show and loved the concept. I also like the idea of using them as church pew markers and centerpieces.
Instead of regular votives
Seashell candles...easy to make and a creative substitute to traditional votive candles!

A little about us and our wedding
I thought it would be interesting to fill this out and then look back after my wedding and see if I stuck to the plans in my head, etc.

How long did you date before you got engaged?
2 years, 10 months
Did you get the ring you wanted?
Exactly the one I wanted :)
Was the proposal a complete surprise?
Completely
Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
I love the ring - wouldn't change a thing.
Did you cry when he proposed?
Sure did. I don't even really remember what he said or if I actually said yes :)
Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like.

When do you want to go for your honeymoon?
Probably after I graduate and we have some money saved for it
Are you buying his wedding band for him?
I will be, just haven't decided when or where yet.
Have you gone over your original wedding budget?
Not sure yet....we'll see....

Hopefully beautifully sunny, and warm....but not too warm!

Ceremony - inside
Reception - inside
Church/justice of the peace/other?

How many people will be there?
about 150...?
Time of day?
3:30pm
Any kind of theme?
Black and ivory damask & red
How many bridesmaids? Who would they be?
4-three good friends and my future sister-in-law!
What kind of cake/what will it look like?
My plan is for a round layered cake. Simple white fondant with ribbon and flowers.
Where will you have the reception?
In the local community centre
What kind of dress will you have/color/material?
I haven't picked it yet...but can't wait!
What kind of flowers in your bouquet?
I'm thinking red roses
How will you wear your hair?
probably up
Who will be important to be there?
Family & friends..and us :-)
Will the reception be big or small?
Bigger rather than smaller
What will the groom wear?
black suit, some shoes and a smile :)
How old will you and the groom be?
33 and 32
How long will you be engaged before you get married?
4 years and 7 months
Live together before or wait till married?
Living together
Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple?
Loooooong time. I love DIY projects and planning!!
Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding?
I've planned a couple of weddings for other people..time to do my own!
Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made?
Although writing our own vows sounds like a great idea, I don't think it's allowed in our church. Plus I'll probably cry and not get the words out :)

Love love love the centerpieces on the left. Still having trouble deciding what the centerpiece will be....

Wedding Favors
Although the candle color will be clear and I'll be using a different container, I believe my wedding favors are going to be similar to this idea. Using beach sand we collect as well as our own sea glass- we'll be making these over the next many months.
